J.D. enters his eighth season as the Flash's manager, the only manager in the program's history. J.D. led the Flash to its first OVL championship last season. His Flash teams have a 175-116 record overall including a 133-72 run mark over the last five seasons.
A graduate of Missouri Baptist University, J.D. has more than 20 years of coaching experience at the collegiate and professional levels before becoming the manger of the Flash. He spent eight seasons, including two as manager, with the Rockford RiverHawks of the Frontier League and coached for many summers in collegiate wood bat leagues across the country.
In addition to managing the Flash, J.D. is the Youth Service Center director at South Middle School and the head baseball coach at Henderson County High School.
A pitcher for the Flash in 2023 and 2024, Logan Haslam returns to the team as the pitching coach for the 2025 season. A native of Castro Valley, Calif., Logan was the OVL's pitcher of the year last summer as he posted a 6-3 record with one save in 53 2/3 innings. He struck out 59 batters while walking only 16. Logan was 4-0 with 2 saves in 2023. He struck out 45 and walked 14 in 32 innings pitched.
Haslam is a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, where he was an All-Northwest Conference selection in 2024 as he was 1-1 with a pair of saves and a 3.11 earned run average.
John Reynolds joins the Flash staff this summer following his first season as an assistant coach on J.D. Arndt's coaching staff at Henderson County High School, where John is also a special education teacher. Prior to his current position, John worked several years in television as a sports anchor most recently in Evansville.
John is no stranger to the Ohio Valley League having worked for the Muhlenberg County Stallions in 2019 as the director of media. He is a graduate of Muhlenberg County High School where he played both baseball and basketball.
An infielder for the Flash in 2022 and 2024, Colton Evans rejoins the team for 2025 in a different role. Colton posted a .309 batting average during the 2022 season. Returning from a broken ankle in early spring of 2024, Colton took over the first base role late last season and proved to be crucial in the Flash's run to the OVL championship.
After playing two seasons at Vincennes, Colton has spent the last two years at Carson-Newman but has yet to play because of injuries. A recent graduate of the Jefferson City, Tennessee school, Colton has one season of eligibility remaining.
