Meet The Flash – Jacob Tapp

The next player to highlight on “Meet the Flash” is Jacob Tapp, Jacob is a 2016 Union Co grad and is currently pitching at Olney Central. Tapp was one of the best pitchers in the 2nd region as a senior last year. The 5’11” right handed pitcher will be wearing #4 for the Henderson Flash when he takes the mound this summer. Go Flash!!

Meet The Flash – Marty Coursey

With the 2017 Flash roster almost complete it’s time to start to “Meet The Flash”… Our first player to highlight is Henderson Co. 2014 graduate Marty Coursey. Marty is a 6’3” 195 lb. Junior pitcher at Union University in Jackson, TN. Currently Marty is 2-1 on the season that has his Bulldogs off to a great start at 11-1. When you come out to BT Wayne Field to watch Marty pitch this summer he’ll be wearing #41 for the Flash!!

It’s time to play ball! The Henderson Flash plays at Henderson County High School B.T. Wayne Field located at 2424 Zion Road in Henderson, Kentucky. (Driving directions here.) We have a full schedule ready for you to view or download on our Schedule page.

Our colors are blue and yellow, so don’t forget to show your spirit when you come to the games!

Henderson Flash is a collegiate baseball team and a member of the Ohio Valley League. NCAA rules and guidelines will be followed, and all umpires are NCAA certified.

OVL Welcomes Henderson Flash

OVL Welcomes Henderson Flash

The OVL welcomes the Henderson Flash. The OVL met on Saturday in Madisonville and granted a franchise to Henderson, KY. The team name is Flash and will begin play in the upcoming season scheduled to begin on June 1, 2017. The addition of the Flash builds the league to 8 teams total. The Henderson Flash will play their home games at Henderson County High School’s B.T. Wayne Field.

The OVL also voted to split the league into two divisions, the East and West. The East division will consist of the Henderson Flash, Dubois County Bombers, Owensboro Oilers and Muhlenberg Stallions. The West division will contain the Fulton Railroaders, Paducah Chiefs, Hopkinsville Hoppers and Madisonville Miners. The 2017 OVL schedule is forthcoming with each team playing 40 regular season games, 20 home & 20 away. An All Star game will be scheduled for July 9 and will be played at Dubois County’s League Stadium. Post Season Playoff schedule is TBA.
